Savannah Kirkpatrick's long fly ball scores the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to give Red Mountain the victory.

Bre Macha does it on offense and pitching. She had 11 strikeouts, giving up only 4 hits while pitching; she pitched out of jams in 3 of the seven innings making quality pitch after quality pitch. On offense, Bre led the Mtn. Lions going 3 for 4 with a home run; Jordan Beck was 2 for 4 with a key double in the last inning; Marian Ruf added a home run; and Alyssa Fernandez added a double.

The game was tied 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh, Macha reaches first, Jordan Beck doubled advancing Brittany Hertnecky to third, who was running for Macha. Kirkpatrick drove a ball to deep center that was caught and carried the centerfielder over the fence; Hertnecky tagged up and scored the winning run.

The Mtn. Lions will play again Thursday at 5:00 pm against Mtn. Pointe and Friday at 6:00 pm against Paradise Valley. All games are played at Horizon Park in Scottsdale.
