In a rematch of last year's Division I state championship, Red Mountain came out on top.

The Mountain Lions continued to play well in the victory. With five timely hits, the Mountain Lions were able to score six runs with the help of a few Chaparral miscues. Alyssa Fernandez and Alex Wiley went 2-for-4 with a double and a single each. Savannah Kirkpatrick added a single, Bre Macha had three walks and Lindsay Steverson added an RBI.

Macha pitched another gem, going all seven innings allowing only 3 hits, no walks and had 10 strikeouts.

The Desert Ridge game originally scheduled for Wednesday has been moved. Varsity will play on April 28. The Mountain Lions' next game will be on April 3 at Horizon High School at 6 pm
