Two McClintock errors in the ninth inning opened the door to four unearned runs for Marcos de Niza, which capitalized on its own stellar defense to beat the Chargers 7-3 in extra innings on Tuesday. Marcos de Niza made two double plays, with second baseman Mikaela Rodriguez at the heart of both, made three running catches in the outfield, and threw out two McClintock runners at the plate, including the potential game-winning run with two outs in the seventh inning.  Alexis Osuna had the big hit in the ninth for Marcos de Niza, a two-run double, and Corina Goings was 2 for 4 for the Padres. For McClintock, Shealynn Zimnick was the tough-luck losing pitcher, giving up only one earned run over the nine innings and striking out 11. She also was 2 for 4 at the plate. Karina Hidalgo, Mary Mentz, Audra Emmerson and Shannon Geraty also had two hits apiece for McClintock.
