For the past two seasons Melissa's been one of the Lions' top runners, and is at again with 9th and 14th overall finishes in the Lions' first two invites this season as Red Mountain took second place overall in both. Thanks to her unweighted GPA is 4.0 (un-weighted), she's ranked No. 2 (out of 771) in her class and is part of the National Honors Society.
Dunn also volunteers at her church through the religious education program teaching fourth and fifth graders, and is part of Relay for Life each year.
There's more. Dunn is a lifeguard, which means CPR certification education each year, along with Life Guard Certification and Water Safety Instructor certification so she can guard and teach swimming lessons to all ages (including infants and adult water aerobics).
