The latest boys basketball rankings, updated on Dec. 6:

Division I

1. Desert Vista 3-0

2. Corona del Sol 5-1

3. Pinnacle 6-1

4. Basha 3-0

5. Cesar Chavez 7-0

6. Mountain View 2-1

7. Hamilton 6-1

8. Red Mountain 7-1

9. Desert Ridge 5-1

10. Buena 6-0

Plenty of changes after the first couple weeks of hoops action. Desert Vista ascends to No. 1 after an undefeated start, including a solid win at Pinnacle. Corona del Sol had a hiccup early against Mesquite, but has been consistently blowing teams out since. Pinnacle won the P.V. Invitational but drops to No. 3 after the loss to the Thunder. Basha and Cesar Chavez each move up a spot, while Mountain View falls after losing to Fairfax in the season opener and narrowly escaping with victories over Westwood and Marcos de Niza. Hamilton moves up a spot after a good start, while Red Mountain, Desert Ridge and Buena enter the rankings. Brophy, Chaparral and Dobson have dropped out.

Division II

1. Peoria 6-0

2. Amphitheater 6-1

3. Kellis 2-0

4. Nogales 6-2

5. Arcadia 5-1

6. Fairfax 2-1

7. Paradise Valley 4-1

8. Salpointe 6-1

9. Saguaro 4-1

10. Sunnyslope 3-2

Peoria's hot start has pushed it all the way up to No. 1. Amphitheater drops to No. 2 after a loss to Nogales. Kellis has only played two games, but so far, so good. Nogales has lost to Saguaro and Amphitheater, but did rebound by beating Amphi in a rematch. Arcadia hasn't been dominating, but is winning game and drops two spots to No. 5. Fairfax had the nice season-opening win over Mountain View but was then beaten by Sierra Linda. Paradise Valley stays at No. 7, while Salpointe and Saguaro each move up a spot. Sunnyslope joins the top-10 after wins over Sierra Linda and St. Mary's and close losses to Peoria and Arcadia. Thunderbird drops out after a 3-3 start.

Division III

1. Gilbert Christian 3-0

2. Holbrook 1-0

3. Window Rock 2-0

4. Thatcher 1-0

5. Fountain Hills 3-0

The top-3 teams have started undefeated and kept their spots. Scottsdale Christian is 0-2 to drop out of the top-5, so Thatcher moves up a spot to No. 4 and Fountain Hills joins the rankings after a good start.

Division IV

1. Phoenix Country Day 8-0

2. El Capitan 4-0

3. Desert Christian 7-0

4. Orme 3-0
