Westwood overcame a five-run deficit with six runs in the fifth inning to defeat Dobson, 7-6, on Thursday.

After Dobson (6-2) put up five runs in a big fifth inning, the Warriors got them all back and more in the very next inning, fueled by a two-run single by Steven Prichard.

Pitcher Gerardo Arzaga held on the rest of the way to secure the win for Westwood (5-2).

Justin Behnke had a nice game for the Mustangs, going 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI.

Thomas Schellhardt tossed a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts in seven innings as Arcadia defeated Coronado 4-1.

Gary Cornish went 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI for the Titans. The Dons dropped to 2-4 with the loss.

Basha bashed out 15 hits, while Anthony Conforti went 3-for-4 with three RBI from the plate to lead the Bears to a 7-4 victory against Red Mountain.

Aaron Blair pitched four innings to pick up the win for Basha (6-1). Roth Dunham pitched five innings for the Lions (4-6) in the loss.

In an early matchup of two teams with state championship aspirations, Red Mountain pounded out 20 hits to support Breanna Macha's seven strong innings in an 11-2 victory against Basha.

Ashley Sunderhaus (two doubles), Macha (home run), Sierra Phillips (double) and Brittany Dvorak all had three hits for the Lions. Sara Goodrum, Haley Culley, and Jordan Beck each had two hits.

Notre Dame's Dani Akin's go-ahead single in the top of the 10th inning proved to be the game-winner as the Saints outlasted host Saguaro, 7-6 on Thursday.

Down 6-4 going into the seventh inning, Notre Dame was able to rally to score two runs and tie the game to force extra innings.

Lanie Shuba led the offensive charge going 2-for-4 with a HR and 2 RBI for the Saints (6-2).

Tess McPherson went the distance for Notre Dame. Jenna Nimtz finished 2-for-5 with a triple and 2 RBI to lead the Sabercats (6-3-1).
