Despite the wet weather, Red Mountain's Brett Wilson shot a 4-under 32, Tuesday, to take first place and lead the Mountain Lions (150) boys golf team to a road victory versus Desert Ridge (162) and host Mesquite (164) at Kokopelli Golf Course in Gilbert.
The Jaguars' Devon Ridd shot a 37, good enough for second place. The Wildcats' Devon Montoya (38) and Red Mountain's Cory Cottrell (38) finished tied for third while the Mountain Lions' tim Taylor shot a 39 to finish fifth, respectively.
Girls Volleyball
Basha's McKayla Ferris recorded 18 kills to lead the bears to a three game victory over visiting highland 25-14, 25-20, 25-19. With the win Basha improved to 12-3 on the season.
