Ryan Richardson scored 17 points to lead Perry past Hamilton, 56-54, on Thursday night.
Desmond Howard added 15 points and Jordan Howard finished with 14 for the Pumas (16-5). Nate Walker and Michael Garcia led the Huskies with 12 points each. Eric Jacobsen added 11 points for Hamilton.
In other boys basketball action, visiting Mesquite beat Highland, 55-54, in overtime. Sami Bzai led the Wildcats with 17 points and Zack Zimmerman added 13. Jake Toolson led the Hawks with 18 points while Bryce Farabee added 15 points.
Girls Basketball
Jordan Jensen scored 22 points to lead Mountain View past Desert Vista, 70-65. Arnecia Hawkins added 15 points for the Toros. Kylie Butler led the Thunder with 21 points and Jaymee Brugman finished with 15 points.
Boys Soccer
Tempe beat McClintock, 3-2, after winning 5-3 in a shootout. The Buffaloes (7-5) led 2-1 at halftime but Andreas Estrada scored the game tying goal in the second half to send the game into overtime. Kevin Rayes and Jose Luis Soto each scored a goal for Tempe. Eugenio Morales scored the other goal for McClintock.
Girls Soccer
Host Perry beat Basha, 3-2, after winning 4-3 in a shootout. Ansley Warner scored a goal and had an assist for the Pumas (6-3).
