Athlete of the Year: Ky Westbrook, Chandler
Coach of the Year: Sandra Burkhard, Highland: With the amount of talent Chandler has, it was almost a given that the Wolves would win their seventh straight state title. But Burkhard and Highland put together a very special season that ended with them claiming the runner-up trophy ahead of Hamilton, Xavier and Desert Vista. Highland beat Xavier at its own game, scoring plenty of points in the distance events, including winning the 4x800 relay by a wide margin.
