Clearly, parent groups/booster clubs are having way too much say on how high school athletics is run. The truth is most of these people's kids are not going to go to college on scholarship and the even sadder truth that some of these people need to accept is that some of these scholarships might not even go to the superstud for a variety of reasons. One being the attitude of entitlement that these "parent groups/booster clubs" give to their children. If little Johnny has to work at something, parents get upset. This is one of the major problems with education and athletics all over the country and people need to wake up, and smell the coffee or it will never get any better for teachers, for coaches or for most players.
