The latest boys basketball rankings, updated on Dec. 13:

Division I

1. Corona del Sol 7-1

2. Pinnacle 9-1

3. Basha 7-0

4. Desert Vista 6-1

5. Cesar Chavez 9-0

6. Mountain View 4-1

7. Red Mountain 9-1

8. Buena 9-0

9. Mesquite 5-2

10. Hamilton 8-2

Corona del Sol moves up back to No. 1 after a solid week, including wins over Desert Vista and Dobson. Pinnacle moves up a spot to No. 2, while Basha is now at No. 3 and looking good behind Jaron Hopkins and Torren Jones. The Thunder drop to No. 4, but played the Aztecs tough and certainly seem like a team that could make a title run. Cesar Chavez and Mountain View stay pat at Nos. 5 and 6, while Red Mountain moves up a pair of spots on the strength of a six-game winning streak. Buena moves up two spots, followed by Mesquuite, which already has victories over Corona del Sol and Hamilton this season. The Huskies drop to No. 10 because of the loss to Mesquite, while Desert Ridge drops out.

Division II

1. Peoria 8-0

2. Amphitheater 9-1

3. Kellis 6-0

4. Nogales 9-2

5. Arcadia 7-1

6. Fairfax 5-1

7. Paradise Valley 7-1

8. Sunnyslope 5-2

9. Salpointe 8-2

10. Saguaro 6-2

Peoria stays at No. 1, but the team was involved in a fight with Tolleson last week and will be short-handed for its next game against Saguaro, which could be trouble. Amphitheater, Kellis, Nogales, Arcadia, Fairfax and Paradise Valley all went undefeated this week, so there is no movement in the top-7. Sunnyslope moves up a pair of spots by going 2-0, while Salpointe drops a spot after losing to Amphitheater. Saguaro lost to Tempe, but was without its best player, Ryan Berg, so the Sabercats stay in at No. 10, although Poston Butte made a push.

Division III

1. Gilbert Christian 6-1

2. Holbrook 7-0

3. Window Rock 3-0

4. Fountain Hills 5-0

5. Thatcher 6-1

Gilbert Christian lost this week, but it came in the finals of the Christian Cup to a very talented Red Lion team from Delaware, so the Knights stay at No. 1. Holbrook and Window Rock had undefeated weeks to stay at Nos. 2 and 3. Fountain Hills and Thatcher switched spots after Thatcher lost to Holbrook by three points.

Division IV

1. Phoenix Country Day 8-0

2. El Capitan 5-0

3. Desert Christian 9-0

4. Orme 4-0

5. Phoenix Christian 3-1

Each team in the top-5 went undefeated last week, so the rankings stay the same.
