Mesquite led from start to finish to earn a season sweep over Basha after the Wildcats' 55-44 win on Wednesday night.
All eight Wildcats who played scored, led by Nate Anderson's 12 points. Chris Krueger nailed two key third quarter three-pointers to stem a Basha run, and Mesquite made all 12 of its fourth quarter free throws to seal the victory.
Maurice Kirby led Basha with 18 points, Cole Kepler scored 12 and Nathan Markovich added nine for the Bears.
Poston Butte 68, Queen Creek 48: Jalen Richard scored 23 and teammate Kyle Davis had 19 to lead host Poston Butte to the victory over Queen Creek. The win pushed the Broncos record to 21-4 overall. The Bulldogs fell to 15-9.
