Desert Mountain remained undefeated on the young season, improving to 2-0 with a 49-7 win Friday over host Phoenix Carl Hayden in a 5A Division II nonregion contest.

Desert Mountain quarterback Cory Campbell threw for 256 yards and five touchdowns, three coming in the second quarter, giving him seven on the season.

Three of Friday's scores went to Ryan Frasier, who caught touchdown passes of 67, 3 and 8 yards. Jason Kramer added one touchdown reception and Brett Patrick had the other. Desert Mountain's lone rushing touchdown came on a 8-yard run by James Rana.

Carl Hayden fell to 0-2.
