Outlook: It is not often you get to give your reserves substantial playing time.

Chaparral coach Ron Estabrook will enjoy that luxury tonight.

Anthem Boulder Creek is playing its first varsity season. Chaparral is playing one of its best in a long time.

Chaparral has outscored its two opponents 95-0. Defensive backturned-quarterback Casey Lytle is doing a fine job as is obviously, the Firebirds’ defense.

This is a good break for Chaparral, which faces 4A-I defending state champion Glendale Cactus next week.

Address: 6935 E. Gold Dust Ave., Scottsdale

Records: Boulder Creek 0-1; Chaparral 2-0

Last year’s result: Did not play
