Outlook: Both teams need this one in the worst way. For Desert Mountain, this game can’t come soon enough after getting hammered by Horizon, plagued by 64 yards total offense.
The Wolves have been outscored 96-6 in the past two weeks. The losses haven’t been close (huckstered 138-6) and though the team has been inconsistent this season, today is winnable for the Wolves.
The upside for the Matadors is they’re 2-1 at home, but they’re a sophomore group. The upside for Desert Mountain is they’ve played well on the road in beating Carl Hayden and Casa Grande.
