Highland used a 7-1 match record to grab the top overall seed during the first round of pool play at the Phoenix College Boys Volleyball Tournament on Friday at Phoenix College.
Mountain Pointe also ended up 7-1 and will have the No. 2 seed heading into today's pool play games.
Saguaro, Red Mountain and Westwood round out the Gold Division of the tournament.
Desert Vista, Chandler and Gilbert will join Glendale Deer Valley and Sierra Vista Buena in the Silver Division, while Mesa and Mesquite will be in the Bronze Division.
The single-elimination playoffs will be tonight.
An all-tournament team will be announced after the conclusion of pool play.
