Williams Field High School football Coach Steve Campbell was a national winner of the Positive Coaching Alliance’s Double-Goal Coach Award.
The 25 award winners were announced on Tuesday. Campbell was one of 75 finalists selected from more than 1,700 nominees nationally.
Each winner receives $250, a trophy and celebration and appreciation from all corners of the PCA Movement.
The Positive Coaching Alliance’s Double-Goal Coach award is given to adult leaders who, according to its website, “strive to win while also pursuing the more-important goal of life lessons through sports.”
Campbell is 60-13 since he helped open Williams Field in 2007, including a state championship game appearance and three state semifinals. He also coached at McClintock for three seasons prior to Williams Field.
