VX Roundup 12/7: Martindale leads Higley girls to first win over Williams Field

Visiting Higley got its first ever varsity girls basketball win over Williams Field as the Knights beat the Black Hawks, 47-44, on Friday night.

Sydnie Martindale led all scorers in the game with 24 points for Higley. Nicole Flora added 14 points for the Knights. Arianna Barnes led Williams Field with 20 points.

Girls Basketball

Highland 62, Basha 23: Olivia Lucero led the Hawks (10-1) with 15 points and Megan Brown added 10. Hayley Pryor led the Bears with 8.

Notre Dame 68, Paradise Valley 30: Mollie Hughes led the Saints with 20 points and Lauren Loven added 16 while Monica Turley contributed 12.

Dobson 74, Corona del Sol 42: Miyah Leith led the Mustangs (6-2) with 16 points and Tori Lloyd added 14. Kaelin Shaffer led the Aztecs with 17.

Pinnacle 82, Deer Valley 32: Pinnacle stayed undefeated (12-0) led by Sidney Wiese who finished with 27 points. Britta Nordstrom added 14.

Queen Creek 44, Apache Junction 37: Makaily Worthington scored 22 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Prospectors.

Xavier 52, Chaparral 32: The host Gators jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in their victor over the Firebirds. Katie Werner led Xavier with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Lexi Carbine added 14.

 

Boys Basketball

Paradise Valley 57, Notre Dame 33: The Trojans had little problem with the Saints on Friday night. Paradise Valley had three players in double figures scoring, led by 17 points from Anthony Walker. Paul Watson added 12 points and Ryan Finley contributed 10.
