Perry quarterback Josh Uhlorn scored, and scored, and scored some more.
The senior quarterback recorded eight of the Pumas' nine touchdowns as No. 8 Perry rolled to a 62-42 victory over visiting No. 9 Lake Havasu in the first round of the Division II state football playoffs.
In addition to throwing five touchdown passes to five different receivers, Uhlorn rushed for three touchdowns, including a 55-yard score to start the game and a 29-yard score in the fourth quarter to halt the Knights' furious rally.
The Pumas led 48-12 going into the fourth, Lake Havasu scored 14 points quickly thanks to a safety by Connor Dodds and two quick touchdowns to pull within 48-26 after the Knights failed on both two point conversion attempts.
After the two teams traded touchdowns, Uhlorn scored his eighth and final touchdown of the night. Lake Havasu's Javen Lambertson punched in a touchdown from 1-yard out, but it was too late for the Knights.
Perry was up 22-6 after the first quarter and 35-6 at the half.
With the win, Perry travels to No. 1-seeded Chaparral, 62-0 winners over Yuma Gila Ridge, on Thursday, at 7 p.m.

"The Dogs are ready"--Imagine C Wolve coach Aguano (note small c in "coach") has put the kerosine on the rivalry with his quote about the Wolve's being the ONLY team in the State capable of beating the Huskies. I think it is tooo much BRAVADO and really does a dis-service for team's like Brophy, Desert Ridge, Red Mtn, M tn Pt, Desert Vista etc..who on any given nite also has the capability of beating the HUSKIES.
Guess, considering Coach Aguano needs that hype for his players because he got OUT-COACHED by Belles in the first game this season, he needs some method of madness to degrade other High School's in his shameful way,.
