Updated baseball rankings, as of March 19:

Division I

1. Hamilton 9-2

2. Chaparral 12-4

3. Brophy 9-3

4. Mesquite 12-3

5. Desert Mountain 10-5

6. Basha 12-3

7. Horizon 6-4

8. Cienega 13-3

9. Mountain Pointe 5-3-1

10. Corona del Sol 8-3

Hamilton hangs on to the top spot, but Chaparral is charging hard after capturing the Cleats Sports Classic Invitational title over Saguaro on Saturday. Brophy has won five straight to move up to No. 3 and Mesquite makes the biggest jump on the heels of a nine-game winning streak. Desert Mountain struggled last week and drops to No. 5, while Basha moves up to No. 6. Horizon, Cienega and Mountain Pointe all dropped a few spots, while Corona del Sol enters the rankings after impressive wins over Brophy and Hamilton lately. Highland is on the cusp.

Division II

1. Saguaro 12-3

2. Sunrise Mountain 9-0

3. Sunnyslope 12-1

4. Sabino 11-2

5. Liberty 7-3

6. Salpointe 12-4

7. Arcadia 9-4

8. Canyon del Oro 9-4

9. Shadow Mountain 9-3

10. Apollo 10-2

Saguaro lost in the championship game of the Cleats Classic, but played very well throughout against elite Division I competition and stays atop the rankings. Sunrise Mountain, Sunnyslope and Sabino all went undefeated last week and keep their spots. Liberty's only loss last week came to Sunrise Mountain. Salpointe played well last week to jump up to No. 6, while Arcadia and Canyon del Oro drop a few spots. Shadow Mountain continues to impress with a 3-0 record last week, and Apollo joins the rankings with a strong start to the season.

Division III

1. Estrella Foothills 9-1

2. Blue Ridge 9-3

3. River Valley 15-3

4. Mingus 7-2

5. Fountain Hills 8-5

Estrella Foothills went undefeated last week and stays on top. Blue Ridge lost a nail-biter to Snowflake but sticks at No. 2 because the teams behind it didn't make a move. Payson lost twice to drop out of the rankings, and Coronado also dropped two games to fall out of the top-5. River Valley has won nine straight games to move up to No. 3, followed by Mingus and a resurgent Fountain Hills team.

Division IV

1. Desert Christian 9-4

2. Yuma Catholic 5-2

2. Phoenix Christian 4-2

4. Phoenix Country Day 7-2

5. Gilbert Christian 5-1

Desert Christian lost to Notre Dame and Cienega but were competitive, and will stay at No. 1. Yuma Catholic is playing better of late and jumps up to No. 2, followed by an also-surging Phoenix Christian team. Phoenix Christian and Gilbert Christian round out the top-5.
