RECORDS: Willow Canyon 0-5; Pinnacle 4-1

LAST WEEK:

Willow Canyon opened West Valley Region play with a 34-7 loss to Lake Havasu. Sean Michaels scored four touchdowns to lead Lake Havasu, scoring twice receiving, once rushing and once more on an interception return. The Knights had 230 yards rushing in the game and 130 passing for 360 yards total offense. Eric Lopes led Havasu on the ground with 95 yards. On defense, Mike O’Neil led Havasu with 17 tackles and Chris Bench added 15.

Pinnacle has won three in a row since a Week 2 loss at Millennium. The Pioneers downed Ironwood Ridge 31-7 last week. Pinnacle plays in the Desert Sky Region.

PINNACLE SCOUTING REPORT:

Look out for a guy named "Garrett" when you play the Pioneers. Running back Garrett Lee leads the Pioneers with 496 rushing yards and eight touchdowns this season. Quarterback Garrett Redd has thrown for 429 yards and three touchdowns. Redd’s favorite target is Justin Smith, who has 173 receiving yards. Ray Fleming leads the defense with 26 tackles and four sacks.
