Gilbert Mesquite celebrated its homecoming Friday night by treating Wildcats fans to a 55-0 romp over San Luis in a 5A nonregion game.
Scott Ketter led the Wildcats, completing 8 of 13 passes for 174 yards and four touchdowns.
Trevor Kohl had three receptions, two of which were for touchdowns, including a 38-yard score to open the game.
The running game was also effective, gaining 126 yards on 21 carries. Luckas Scott got the bulk of the workload, rushing for 57 yards.
