Updated baseball rankings, as of March 18:

Division I

1. Sandra Day O’Connor 11-0

2. Desert Mountain 13-2

3. Hamilton 8-2

4. Mountain Pointe 7-1

5. Gilbert 11-3

6. Desert Ridge 11-5

7. St. Mary’s 13-1

8. Basha 8-2

9. Perry 12-3

10. Tucson 10-3

Sandra Day O’Connor takes over the top spot with an impressive undefeated start which includes two victories over Brophy and one over Pinnacle. Desert Mountain split with Notre Dame last week but otherwise was impressive and sits at No. 2. Hamilton lost to Mountain Pointe early in the week but rebounded with solid wins over Corona del Sol and Perry. Mountain Pointe and Gilbert are both hot right now and have moved into the top-5, while Desert Ridge made the championship game of the Cleats Classic Invitational and moves up to No. 6. St. Mary’s went went 4-1 against East Valley opponents last week, but three of the wins were by one run and the competition wasn’t fierce, so the Knights drop a couple spots. Basha moves up two places with a 3-0 week while Perry jumps in after winning the Triple Play Classic. Tucson joins the rankings after an impressive showing at the Cleats Classic, while Corona del Sol and Red Mountain drop out.

Division II

1. Liberty 8-0-1

2. Notre Dame 10-5

3. Sunnyslope 8-2-1

4. Ironwood Ridge 10-0

5. Greenway 9-1

6. Sahuaro 8-2-1

7. Sunrise Mountain 8-4

8. Catalina Foothills 8-2

9. Gila Ridge 11-1

10. Salpointe 7-4

The top four spots remain the same. Liberty continues to roll to hang onto the top spot, and even though Notre Dame went 4-3 last week, it came against elite Division I opponents, so the Saints stay at No. 2. Greenway has jumped up into the top-5 on the strength of a seven-game winning streak, while Sahuaro moves up to No. 6 after a perfect week. Sunrise Mountain and Catalina Foothills drop a couple spots with losses last week, while Gila Ridge remains at No. 9. Salpoints joins the rankings once again while Williams Field drops out.

Division III

1. Fountain Hills 13-1

2. River Valley 12-1-1

3. Thatcher 9-0

4. Estrella Foothills 6-2

5. Show Low 6-2

Fountain Hills continues to impress and remains at No. 1, followed by River Valley, which moves up a spot as its winning streak has reached 10. Thatcher is undefeated to start the year to jump to No. 3, while Estrella Foothills and Show Low remain near the back-end of the top-5. Scottsdale Christian has started slowly and drops out of the rankings.

Division IV

1. Yuma Catholic 7-1

2. Phoenix Christian 6-2

3. Pusch Ridge 8-1

4. Tempe Prep 10-2

5. Desert Christian 9-3

Yuma Catholic’s only loss this season has come to Division III No. 2 River Valley, so the Shamrocks have ascended to the top spot. Phoenix Christian’s explosive offense has it at No. 2, while Pusch Ride jumps up to No. 3 with a win over Walden Grove. Tempe Prep dropped a spot to No. 4 while Desert Christian sticks at No. 5.
