Chandler High boys basketball coach Mike Ellsworth has reportedly been suspended by the school, and it is unclear if and when he will return.
Ellsworth did not coach last Friday’s game against Mesa and is not expected to be on the bench Tuesday night when Chandler hosts Brophy.
A source told the Tribune that Ellsworth was suspended for posting a flier in the locker room with the names of players that had recently quit the team.
Ellsworth declined comment on Tuesday, and athletic director Dave Shapiro said he couldn’t discuss the matter because it was a personnel issue.
