"...his passion for great storytelling make him a perfect fit to lead our newsroom into the future ...."
No news room in AZ. has excelled ABC ability to "tell a story ... " what would be nice though would be a trend toward reporting events w/o the story telling ...

Leon is absolutely correct - Lewis will entangle Mesa in an ideaological morass inherent in the Morman ideology - the lost tribe of Israel mentality - for which he will then ask all arizona to financially support - becoming unwitting de facto Mormon ...
We've already seen this with McComish and friends - who posited the position as businessmen they have some insider knowledge which "we" don't have - nothing should frighten you more than someone who precedes their remarks by" I am professional ...; or "I am businesman ...; and most frightening: " I am East Valley Tribune/ Az Republic "journalist"..." that suggests that your own experience and reality is erroneous.
Arizonans overwhelmingly expressed their concerns in the last election by sweeping margins - and have clearly championed controlled immigration, which is what this "recall" is really all about. Russell Pearce heard Arizonan's - and so spoke while local media vigorously denied and villified that voice -
Ask yourself this: are you really a racist? are you really a "red neck bigot"? I don't think so either. Repudiate the weak kneed Republicans afraid to face the beast and the La Raza inspired demogougery and the clearly yellow journalism of Valley media - donate to and RE ELECT PEARCEAug 4, 2011

Dear Dale - it may come as a surprise to you but there are several generations of southwestern citizens who were here long before you arrived who have never experienced a "haboob". They have however experienced a "Mexican Monsoon" as they did recently which apparently astounded the newbie haboob-ie community. In fact if you you look around you will see a large presence of Mexican influence from which our term derives. ( Not a lot of Saharan Arabs from which your term derives.) For those of us who have lived through summer after summer of monsoons, many as remarkable if not more so as this most recent storm, the term to which you refer makes no sense.
There was a haboob in Arizona at that time though, Janet Napolitano was in Nogales. Jul 22, 2011
Another example of Mexican industrial espionage - he probably works for the Mexican Space program - you have heard of it, right - looking for copper.Jul 14, 2011
So our "El Marmotito" ( the little woodchuck) would suggest that the privatized lands shall be the exclusive right of the Mexican Drug Cartels while insisting the BP be prohibited access .... I think an audit of campaign contributions is in order here ... and folks, you do realize the pudgy little rodent is aiming for the Secretary of Interior position, which Salazar has already posted intentions of vacating ... now there is a night mare in the making. Until the late 1970s, there was serious debate about whether a monsoon truly existed in North America. However, considerable research, which culminated in the Southwest Arizona Monsoon Project (SWAMP) in 1990 and 1993, established the fact that a bonafide monsoon, characterized by large-scale wind and rainfall shifts in the summer, develops over much of Mexico and the intermountain region of the U.S. Published papers at the time called this pattern by
different names, including the "Summer Thunderstorm Season," "The Mexican Monsoon," "The Southwest Monsoon," and the "Arizona Monsoon."
In 2004, a major multinational research project was conducted in northwest Mexico and the southwest U.S.
The North American Monsoon Experiment (NAME)
sought to better describe the monsoon in North America, and increase our ability to predict it on a daily, weekly and seasonal basis. NAME showed that despite its many names, the weather pattern we see during the summer is
not only a true monsoon, but it also affects the weather over a large portion of North America.
Thus the generally accepted name is now "North American Monsoon."
Haboob ? The only HaBoob in AZ. is Janet napolitano in Nogales !!!

According to their little poll here - stoned is standard sop in Mesa as well as the anonymous no by-line author too. First the feds have not dealt forthrightly with "legalized marijauna" you can google NPR which had a comprehensive article as well as Colorado, California where articles abound about the confusion created with medical marijuana sales and supplies - obviously the author, probably posting this article from the "Dunnoshit Saloon"in east Mesa has bothered to read any of them at all - outsatnding journalism - outstanding !!May 29, 2011
