Still clueless as usual Tom. So sad to see a successful Dr show such petty greed, avarice and unwillingness to share any of the wealth you've gained, (due to an education few can afford anymore), with a hungry child whose Mom works two minimum wage jobs and can still barely afford food for her family.
You and your kind still disgust me Tom and I'm so glad I don't think like you do! Pathetic!2 weeks ago
mnjcpa...please? Tax cuts has nothing to do with why people are struggling? Really? Please explain how the vast majority of the income going to the top 10% over the past 30 years has not had an effect on lower income people? DAH? It's pure greed that makes these rich folks just keep on accumulating rather than sharing some with their employees.
A decision is made everyday in Corporate America to shaft their employees so the top brass can keep taking home more and more. WalMart for example...$313 billion in profit, CEO makes $11,000/ hr, yet they can't pay their employees a basic minimum wage of $10.50/hr...which would only subtract $2 billion off their "bottom" line? Isn't that a joke? Get with the program, Corporations and the wealthy are COMPLETELY responsible for our current sorry state of affairs! Corporations are sitting on trillions that could create new jobs or pay higher wages...they choose to do neither and increase CEO salaries instead..WAKE UP TO REALITY PLEASE?
antrino..PLEASE? Defense spending has run rampant forever, there is NEVER a cut back, just a policy of spend, spend, spend!
Facts are: 22.1 million new jobs have been created since 1993, the most jobs ever created under a single Administration AFTER TAX RATE HIKE
Net loss of new jobs under Georgie Bush Jr....after tax cuts...DAH?
Reality folks...try it on for size....for a nice change!2 months ago
Now be sure and have a NICE DAY Ya All !! [smile][smile]2 months ago
Oh Steve, after re-reading your "researched facts" I noticed they revealed something interesting you failed to notice yourself...or you surely would not have used them I bet...lol.
You claim credit to Reaganomics for bringing the unemployment rate down to 5% at the end of Reagan's 2 terms, then note that unemployment dropped to a mere 3.9% at the end of the "top tax raising to 39.6%" Bill Clinton's 2 terms.
So apparently Reagonomics had absolutely nothing to do with the drop in unemployment, since the drop was even higher when top tax rates on the so-called "job creators" were raised back up again.
So typical of you rose-colored glasses wearing conservatives....never have seen a fact that works in your favor, huh? ROFLMAO2 months ago
Ok folks, here's the only stastic that counts: For the past 30 plus years, mostly under Republican presidents all following Reagan's lead by cutting taxes for the wealthy first and foremost, we've watched the utter stagnation of incomes for the vast majority of American workers. That can not be argued..it's a fact. Average incomes have NOT kept up with inflation for most Americans and poverty continues to increase.
Another thing no Regressive will mention is Reagan only lowered the top tax rate to 50% as I recall. That wasn't good enough for the Bushes, who unfortunately took it another step further and added in plenty of goodies for corporate tax reduction too. In fact a large bunch of our largest corporations pay little to no federal income tax at all. I guess all the common good these corporations use on a daily basis, courts, roads, educated workers, etc...aren't worth subsidizing in any way? Really?
This is the America you think works best? When the vast majority of the wealth is held in a very few hands that keep raking in more and more while most workers are simply lucky to just keep up with the bills?
Please, do you really suppose this is what our Founding Fathers had in mind? NOT!2 months ago
Spencer, I just stopped laughing long enough to type these words, When di you arrive backl from the Space Shuttle? Because obviously you have no idea what hate-mongering consists of...absolutely without a clue.
Regressives have used fear and hatred of blacks, immigrants, gays, taxes, women's equality, government help / socialism, and economic fairness for the past three decades since the Republican's Southern Strategy to use hate to turn Southern Dems into Regressives.2 months ago
Calm down Tom, before you blow a fuse!!!
Funny thing about you haters of the "takers", neither you nor Don who wrote on Sunday can pass along the correct date of my last letter??
You both say it was the 6th...but for some odd reason my computer shows it was posted on the "7th." ROFL ( But maybe it was published in the actual newspaper on the 6th? If so, my apologies, since I can't get their paper delivered here in our gated community?)
By the way Tom, in case no one taught you this in High School, the President can also SIGN the bills passed by Congress.
So now you're trying to sell us the economic boom that occurred under Clinton, after his tax increase of 1993, should be credited to the Republican controlled Congress, several years later, PLEASE? Your Regressives were wasting years of energy trying to impeach him? ROFL
But that was gutsy too Tom,, trying to subtly blame the "Trickle Down Disaster" on Democrats....Rich, Really Rich Tom.
Oh. by the way, please reread my letter again...I know it's hard to force yourself to read the truth, but it did not refer to debt mounting at all. But it did refer to how they dealt with that debt between 1945 and 1975?
The TRUTHS are self-evident.. both Democratic and Republican presidents SPENT money when times were tough to boost employment and let increased GDP and more working incomes paying taxes to bring down the debt over time.
AND IT WORKED TOO TOM!!
WHAT THEY DID NOT DO.... is what your regressives want to do so badly....cut spending drastically during a recession, which 95% of our economists tell us will stall a recovery and possibly slip us back into a full-fledged depression again!
Please Tom, before you write such nonsense again...please read things twice before you put your brain into action, so you are actually referring to what was written, not spouting nonsense about another topic, OK? Thx!
Gracias Amigo!2 months ago
Those of us able to remember that period recall an era of unprecedented prosperity and growth
Writer obviously has forgotten as well....that Reagan ran up greater deficits than all previous Presidentys in American history...just the same as happened to expand growth after WWII.
And exactly what Bush did as well, but exactly the opposite of what today's Republican Party is demanding (during the Obama administration)?????
Funny how deficit spending was OK for Reagan, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. but HEAVEN FORBID defictis when a Democrat holds the White House?
Such blatant hypocrisy...that thankfully more Americans are finally figuring out for themselves!2 months ago

Unreasonable Voice...hope you are proud of yourself again for insulting 99% of American workers who happen to believeable they are all productive members of our society.
Any reading of labor statistics wil show you the steady productivity gains accomplished by these good, hard-working American laborers over the past decades Your blatant insultwas not appreciated...nor is your ridiculously simplistic belief that only millionairesare productive members of our society.
The Fireman who saved the child from the burning house certainly doesn't want you telling him his work is unimportant and that he should "shape up" and realize the only way he'll ever get ahead in life is if he suddenly wakes up and realizes what an honor it is for him to pay more taxes so the millionaire out by the country club can get an extra $250,000 next year! How ignorant of him not tot KNOW that in the first place!
Guess he doesn't watch Fox News religiously or broke his rose colored glasses recently, huh?
If he did, he'd realize how insignificant he really is in the Big Picture and his only hope is waiting for the "trickle-down" to finally hit his bank account.
Darn but didn't they tell me this same nonsense 30 years ago too? Bet you're still waiting!9 months ago
