Ok Gary, who is the hypocrite? The republicans who won't lift a finger and implement sensible back round checks after 20 children are killed. Are in complete denial that we have a gun problem. But when we are attacked by someone who is Muslim, or some foreigner, then republicans grow a conscience and want to protect Americans, even start a war.
How republicans ignore the fact that "fast and furious" was a Bush program and had no problem with it then, but do now because Obama is now the President.
Ignore how the Bush administration dropped the ball on 911 and did nothing to stop the attack which ended with 3,000 Americans dead. Then compounds that with a lie with WMD, but are all up in arms about Benghazi.
How republicans care so much about an unborn fetus, but could care less if these same children have healthcare, food, shelter, access to a good education and could care less if these children are living a life of poverty.

A good community is measured a lot by its schools. Gilbert schools is one of the key reasons why I moved here to start with. I agree that the Gilbert school system is in trouble and once again the blame lies on the lap of these radical politicians. There has been an attack on public schooling throughout this country. Mainly because of this warped vision to privatize our schools, which really means cherry picking who gets an education and who doesn't. Everyone deserves a good education, I view it as a common service and it should remain that way. Public schooling is too important in community building and needs to be treated like it is important. 1 month ago
Not all Muslims feel or think that way. It is unfair to trash their entire faith or their entire population because of some extemists. The Muslim religion is huge, so if all Muslims did feel that way we would see a lot more attacks. Who are any of you to say that your faith is better or right and their faith is wrong. What I see in some of these posts is discrimination. That can't sit well with your God. Christianity has been used many times to kill or harm others. The problem with religion period is that it divides people. It makes people quick to pass judgement on others.
We are not innocent, we bring a lot of this hatred on ourselves. Did we really think their wasn't going to be some kind of backlash for Iraq, or all the other times we have bombed or invaded that part of the world. You can't just walk away from killing hundreds of thousands. It seems when the U.S. kills its ok, but when a Muslim kills its not. 1 month ago
To Mr.Leon. You stand by a Republican party that has failed miserably in regards to job creation. Your party has killed our economy before our very eyes. The Republicans embrace a business culture which off shores American jobs, then compounds that with austerity measures, attacking the public sector putting even more Americans out of work. Then there are those ridiculous “right to work for less” laws that your party continues to push. So now you’re going to complain about people on some kind of government assistance? Hello! It has been Republican failed policies that have put Americans and their families in financial hardship to start with, which in turn puts them on these programs that you hate. I will give you two ideas how to prevent more people from being on some type of government assistance. Stop laying them off…and pay them more.
Also you continue to try to scare folks with your socialism talk. Here lies the problem. You can’t give me any evidence that the Republican way of running our economy actually works. So far all we have seen from Republicans is more misery and hardship. I want to go back too. To the days where we had a strong and vibrant middle class and labor was respected.

It is not unaffordable, you obviously have been drinking the cool-aid. It is about private health insurers gaining more customers. So I don't see why you Neo-Cons have a problem with it. When people use the emergency room to get health care because they don’t have insurance, who do you think pays for that? We do through our high ridiculous premiums. Healthcare should be a common service. It shouldn’t be for profit. I am not a fan of this for profit healthcare system that makes money by denying people care. The President did cave, because if we Dems had it our way we would have had "Single Payer".
I get tired of listening to people whine and moan about taxes. This is how our country operates; it is what keeps us a civilized society. Don’t like it move to Somalia where they have no taxes…and it shows. 2 months ago
Israel isn’t innocent not by a long shot. They are just as responsible for the high tension in the Middle East. They aren’t victims, they are volunteers. What I see is we get all up in arms when people are killed by someone with Muslim ties and insist that something be done, but do nothing when a gunman walks into a school and kills 20 kids.
Regarding oil, certainly oil is a major problem, not only in the way of gas prices, but when you consider the trillions we spend on senseless oil wars, plus factor in the money that has to be spent on accidental cleanups, only makes a greater case for the push to cleaner energy.
The conservatives are all talking deficit and gutting our country to pay it off, yet here they are pushing for another war. Just goes to show that all this deficit talk is just an excuse to abuse the middle and working classes.

I agree with everything this letter says. I have found similar findings and can say with certainty that this is correct. The "Tea Party" needs to except that we don't live in the 1800's anymore. The demographics have changed, ideas have changed. This warped vision of no government or small government is a pipe dream. It doesn't matter how large the government is as long as it is efficient. If the GOP wasn't so obsessed with trying to dismantle and sabotage everything, this country would be in much better shape. 4 months ago
I get a kick out of Republicans who continue to deny that climate change is real. The evidence is overwhelming yet continue to deny. Not surprised coming from a party that yelled and screamed about death panels.
As far as insults go, Bush was called an idiot, stupid and a moron and for good reason. The left never attacked his religion, his race, his family, his birthright, or his education. We didn't make up stories about his past. Our political leaders never vowed to make Bush a one term President, or shout 'you lie" during his address or point fingers in his face. That is the short list. Stop denying the hate for Obama, you're not fooling anyone.
To "onerebel" the housing crash happened due to Bush's policies that brought down credit restrictions which allowed so many folks to buy homes they could not afford. Throw in deregulation which led to shady underhanded lending from institutions and the housing bubble burst. Then have the nerve to blame the buyers. Followed by no effort to help those same folks keep their homes. The Republicans have no credibility for helping anyone outside wealthy individuals and corporations. The GOP caused the financial crisis and hasen't lifted a finger to turn things around for the better since then.4 months ago
Give me a break with all this craziness about government. No one is overthrowing anyone. The government has a responsibility to its people. We have a government to do the peoples work. Do you remember that? Government is made up of our representitives and work for us. The people of this nation have spoken up and are frustrated with these senseless shootings. So until that day which may never come in regards to your paranoia about overthrow, your expecting that we as a nation are just supposed to deal with all this unneccessary carnage and live in fear? Not knowing who or where the next slaughter is going to happen. We shouldn't have to put up with that. Plus why would you want to defend a nation that doesn't care about its fellow citizens. I get it...because this country is only about you right? 5 months ago
I get a kick out of the pro-gun crowd who make all these ridiculous analogies. Comparing cars which are used for transportation and comparing that to guns. Just because you can kill or badly hurt someone with a hammer doesn't put that in the same category as guns. A hammer is a tool...its main use is to pound nails. A gun is a weapon, with one use, to kill. Also the second amendment doesn't mean that the sky is the limit on what type of gun you can own. Banning military type weapons in no way infringes on people's right to bear arms. A hunting rifle and mere pistol is plenty. No one needs to own more than that. My take is anyone who purchases high powered military type weapons immediately becomes a threat to our society.
To those who say well guns don't kill people, people kill people. Well nuclear weapons don't kill people. Enriched uranium doesn't kill people, but republicans make it a point to not allow certain countries to own them...why? Oh I know because they can't be trusted...right? Same thing applies to guns, not everyone who buys a gun can be trusted.5 months ago
