Big guns make little scared men feel powerful. It reminds me of the man who owns that giant, pickup truck or that over-the-top sports car. It is just an icon to build up that fragile ego, compensating for ones short comings.5 months ago
@Slabside - FauxNews talking points justify Brewers actions here?
During Ronald Reagan's fist year in office, he made seven trips west to his California ranch, spending all or part of 42 days there. And let's not forget about, "the one we must not speak of", Dubbya. He took a lot of vacation time. I wonder the price tag on that.
An interesting side note, 10 years ago today I recall one V.P. Cheyney speaking to Paul O'Neill, saying "You know, Paul, Reagan proved that deficits do not matter."
More GOP hypocrisy? I can share much, much more......6 months ago
So how much did this unnecessary trip cost us Arizona tax payers? For a governor who constantly talks about spending cuts this type of stunt just adds to the hypocrisy of the GOP.6 months ago
Boy, with most of these comments, I just had to look out the window to make sure the Salt River wasn't flooding downtown PHX.
Food for thought-

For starters the caption indicates that these lovely American women are indeed Students at Howard University. I probably looked the exact same, that night, just a lighter shade of brown and male. I cannot accept that anyone would refer to our President as a "savior". That line is hyperbole at it's peak.
As a high income earner that pays one of the highest percentages of federal and state taxes, I take great offense to this notion that Liberals just want free stuff. What we want is a good, nay - great, education for all people, healthcare to be a right not a privilege, and to make sure those lesser of thee are helped, mainly the elderly and children in poverty. We strongly believe that able persons must contribute to the workforce. There is no dignity in living off the small amount given by welfare and that takes us back to education.
Furthermore, just for food for thought, it was reported on Fox news, of all places, that states with the highest margin of educated individuals were those won by President Obama in this election as well as 2008. Ahhh, that sounds so nice, President Obama. Say it with me, "President Barack Hussein Obama". Now just the ladies, "President Obama". Now just the conservatives, "President Obama". Now all together, "President Obama". Isn't that fun?
Oh yeah, by the way, we won! Big time. 332 - 206. According to pundits at Fox news, that is considered a landslide. ;)7 months ago
Since each act of voter fraud risks five years in prison and a $10,000 fine - but yields at most one incremental vote, it make absolute clear sense for individuals to commit voter fraud. And it is sooo rampant! For example Washington State actually reveals that voter fraud does happen, it happens approximately 0.0009% of the time! Whoa, that is almost 0.001!
And the problem of dead dogs voting is just as bad. Last election I saw one live dog dragging a dead dog to the polls, twice! The second time it was wearing a disguise but I knew better. I just hope cats don't get the same idea because we all know cats are very, very liberal!12 months ago
Even though since 2009, the annual average number of deportations has approached 400,000, 30% higher than any year under Bush, we desperately need to build that massive, electrified, with winged sharks equipped with lasers on their heads, fence.
It is a must! We don't need a solution that aids a fast, path to citizenship. Don't you realize that there are so many Americans just ready to take over those dish washing, lawn trimming, ditch digging, below minimum wage jobs? 12 months ago
Pfffffffff, more taxes! This, one cent to every dollar which totals one dollar out of one hundred, ten dollars out of one thousand and 100 dollars out of ten thousand is just a stepping stone to two cents.
And further more, the educated only cause problems by questioning things like, why corporations are considered people with individual rights and many of their shareholders are foreigners yet can give undisclosed amounts of campaign donations to help sway our elections.
Money for education, what a ripoff.12 months ago
Yeah, Obama is just trying to get votes but he did this all wrong. He should have done what Regan did in 1986 by granting amnesty to illegal immigrants who entered the United States before January 1, 1982 and had resided there continuously. ie; Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
Obama is so amateur.12 months ago
