Well Ms. Christy, You stirred the readers up with those comments. Please, look up the name: Wendell Potter. You and others will find that he was an executive with Cigna, one of the "for profit" health insurance companies. We as AZ citizens, need to quit arguing about left vs. right and realize that it is the insurance companies that cause the majority of the high cost of health care. Please read his book.[cool]1 month ago
I agree with you. and am fully aware of the GREAT Mr. Tesla. Am hoping that some readers here will google these men and educate themselves and be less pessimistic towards new inventions. Many readers have no idea about the people that we mentioned. My contribution to change: http://www.youtube.com/user/hljmesa

Good article Mr. Goldwater ! !
Subsidies DO WORK. People forget about the 1893 World Exposition, in Chicago. The introduction of Electricity by Mr. Westinghouse and Mr. Edison. From that point on, electricity was subsidized. From the building of the TVA, to every large dam in this nation. For the benefit of the citizens of America, electrical lines were strung out from cities to small towns to every farmer. We now have an electrical system that has monopoly control over this electricity. To use solar is too reduce the usage of coal, and all of its many costs, from transportation to the detrimental effect that coal dust has on workers health. It is time for utilities to energetically use these new inventions and reduce their dependance on old methods.2 months ago

Mr. Patterson, Moral Fiber??? Surely you have read Wendall Potters book or at least been to his web site? Eh?? Talk about lack of moral fiber. The insurance companies are running the biggest racket of all. Removing clients from from their customer list because it is not profitable. For those reading this, please Google Wendall Potter, read his blog, and then ask why Mr. Patterson never writes about this topic.9 months ago
