Chandler youth Henry Gubler knows a thing or two about pianos.
The six-year-old is excited about his fall piano recital at the
Chandler School of Fine Arts (CFA) since he will be performing on a
Steinway. “I like the Steinway because it’s bigger,” he explains.
“It makes ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star’ sound beautiful!”
Tri-City Baptist Church usually invites a military chaplain to
speak the Sunday before Veteran’s Day. This year their choice of
guest speaker is a little unusual—the church will hear from their
own senior pastor, Mike Sproul, currently stationed at an Air Force
base halfway around the world.
In this tough economy many may think they can’t give enough
money to make a significant impact on those suffering in Japan.
However, by joining forces we can all play a part in instrumentally
helping those in need. Intermezzo Strings, a local entertainment
agency specializing in live instrumental music, is helping the
global community and sending a strong message of cultural
solidarity and human compassion by producing a benefit concert on
Saturday, June 11 at 7:00 p.m.
