TempeTownToilet- Last I checked there was around 26%+ coming out of my check. Yes I did get some back but they still kept more than they returned. And I agree with the ending of your post. Wouldn't it be nice to see everyone pay the same.3 weeks ago
I've liked this idea for over 10 years now. It takes the IRS completely out of most people's lives. It stops the employers from being tax collectors. Those that get paid under the table will get taxed too. I find nothing bad about this plan compared to what we have today. 3 weeks ago
And here I thought I may have found someone that would discuss this issue with an open mind. Calling men boys is a cheap shot Dale. The snide remark about Javelina and 30 round magazines was also uncalled for. Finally, anyone, and I mean anyone, that uses the phrase "NeoCon" displays a closed mind and the inability to discuss something rationally without bias. We're done here. Thanks for your service from a DAV.6 months ago
Dale, I get tired of the comparison of vehicles and drunk drivers and banning cars argument no matter how close it is to the truth. With that said, how many people have trucks used to haul items that they use only to get back and forth to work. Any firearm that I have has absolutely no cost to return from use value. I enjoy the AR-15 and have enjoyed that configuration since I was in the military. Comfortable, light and easy to handle. It came with 30 round magazines but I only use them at the range so that I can limit the time to reload during timed shooting.
My point is that the anger and frustration being directed at an inanimate object is beyond reasonable. Regardless of what bans are inacted the only thing they will serve is to make criminals out of already honest people. They will not, in any way, make criminals and mentally disturbed people more law abiding. If the time and effort wasted on demonizing certain firearms were placed towards the real problems there may be some progress.6 months ago
Thank you for the article written useing common sense. I use my AR-15 for predator control and target shooting. I've also taken Javelina and put meat in the fridge. I am no more dangerous having an AR-15 than I am with any other firearm. The "big black gun is scary" mentality is getting a little old. Calling for their ban has placed millions into society and they won't be given up so that only criminals have them. Any shooting is horrible and I don't mean to downplay them but, take the number of these firearms and average them by number of shootings. Once that is done perhaps you'll see that they aren't the problem.
Lastly, common sense is never used by mobs or those with an agenda. Hopefully Congress will see that because I'm sure the ink pens in the Oval Office won't.6 months ago
I tried for years to deal directly with the VA to no avail. I was fortunate enough to be pointed at DAV and told they would handle my claim for free. They did a great job. I urge anyone seeking compensation to use one of the service organizations like DAV, AMVETS or VFW instead of fighting VA directly. I liken it to useing a lawyer instead of defending yourself in a major court case. They all have offices in the same building as the Regional VA in downtown Phoenix.
Best of luck!8 months ago
It would appear to me that closing the border would accomplish the goal of stopping both illegal alien and firearms from crossing. Please ask yourself why our Federal Government refuses to do this crucial task.
The Second Ammendment says in part "In order to insure a free State". State in this context means our country NOT an individual state. It is in place so that anytime our Govenment opresses the citizens, as England did, we can forcibly stop them if need be. People in our country watch the Government and are concerned therefore arming themselves. The devide and conquor scheme of Dem/Rep, ethnicity, have/have not's etcetera is working well to keep us all from standing together simply as Americans. 8 months ago
