Bobcats poolside
There have been several sightings of bobcats in the east Mesa area. They seem to coexist well with humans and are generally not threatened by them. I had a mama and her kit in my yard for an hour last Sunday and got about 100 shots of them.

I have seen one bobcat in 50 years of hunting. I was hunting quail near Cabazon, California, above Palm Springs in the High Desert. An almost cream colored male bobcat on a rock above me at 20yards a way. Absolutely beautiful sight. I walked away and figured he needed the quail more than I did.
Even as a life-long hunter and dreamer of an African Safari (cape buffalo, plains game only).....I would gladly support a moritorium on bobcat hunting not just in Arizona but every where in America. There are just to few of them and they cause no harm to game birds or deer in any...any...significent figures.
IF YOU WANT TO SHOOT A BOBCAT...........BUY A TARGET.

FYI ! AZGF will not do anything with them unless they attack someone.
At that point is a concern for rabies.
Which they are one of the common animals that are suseptable to having rabies. ie: (skunk, raccoon, coyote, porcupine, bobcat, mountain lion, bear. )
The same bobcats were in my brothers front yard 2 weeks ago.
