Obama's "Jobs Bill" is another by the feds to take over control of the LOCAL hiring of police, firefighters and teachers. Since when does the federal government know anything about LOCAL needs for these jobs?
An article in this mornings Republic makes it clear that local governments are hiring police as needed in their cities. This is how it should be--local school boards hiring teachers "as needed" and cities hiring police and fire "as needed." Keep the feds out of local decision making.
