US Airways Group said this week its traffic slipped during October as the Tempe-based airline also cut its available capacity.
Shares of Tempe-based US Airways rose as fast as the price of oil dropped this month, pushing the stock price nearly back to double-digits before settling for a $9.39 close Tuesday.
Tempe-based US Airways is likely to be first in line for bankruptcy within a year, according to at least one Wall Street analyst. Other industry experts say that's hogwash.
UNCERTAIN FORECAST: US Airways jets get positioned at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Analysts are divided over whether the Tempe-based airline is in serious financial trouble.
Tempe-based US Airways shares slid nearly 13 percent Wednesday to establish a new 52-week low of $15.31.
Tempe-based US Airways said it is relaxing rules and fees for rescheduling travel to storm-ridden destinations.
