Gilbert Perry athletic director John Wrenn has been rumored to be joining Rick Neuheisel’s staff at UCLA now that the former McClintock High and UCLA grad has the reins for the Bruins football fortunes.
UCLA evened its three-game weekend series with Arizona State with an 8-3 victory on Saturday at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Los Angeles.
The Arizona State baseball team fell 10-4 to UCLA on Saturday in front of a crowd of 3,623 at Packard Stadium. The Sun Devils are now 43-12 overall, 20-6 in the Pac-10, with one game remaining in the regular season.

For the first time since 2002 and only the seventh time in program history, the Arizona State volleyball team stormed out Friday night to sweep the 14th-ranked UCLA Bruins on ASU home court in Wells Fargo Arena. The 25-16, 25-22 and 25-22 win stunned the Bruins as ASU improved to 11-2 on the year while UCLA drops to 10-3. The 11-2 record is ASU’s best record to open a season since 1992.
