James Contes is a good student with plenty of academic college options, but nothing yet for football.
Hamilton looked like the Huskies of yester-year. Desert Ridge was, well, a bit shell-shocked.
There are duds and then there is something so out of character it becomes insurmountable.

Patrick Joseph felt he left his best words for this last game, even if the Hamilton senior offensive lineman’s pregame speech was “spur of the moment.”
It looked like Basha finally had Hamilton on the ropes, ready to deliver a knockout punch and earn the school’s first victory against its district rival.
After Hamilton surprisingly started out the season 0-2, many people were ready to write off the Huskies. They proved all doubters wrong, rebounding to reel off five consecutive wins.

Someday, the talent pool will dry up enough and the Chandler High girls track program will be challenged for state supremacy. That day, however, is not in the immediate future.
