Kids were rebelling, and, in the mind of their coach, needed to pay consequences for it. Parents were up-in-arms. Most of those who were disciplined or kicked off the Basha football team left the school for one of its neighbors: Chandler, Hamilton, Williams Field, Perry and others.

When kids know that we sincerely not only care for them but we sincerely care about things that are important to them motivation skyrockets! How can we show our sincere care about the things kids care about if we do not sincerely care about those things such as Dora the Explorer, Princesses, Spiderman, or fossils? Beginning with the end in mind just may be the key we need to unlock the door to this sincerity because our kids somehow know if and when we are sincere or not and insincerity does not motivate anyone. For example if we want our children to be motivated to behave well at a restaurant we may need to have a tea party with all their favorite characters the week before and model the desired behavior we want at the restaurant making the connection to how the characters behaved and how pleased we were with them. This seemingly silly or senseless time spend with our kids gives us a greater glimpse into their world and how they see the greater world we live in. This understanding and relationship building builds invites us into their world and gets us out of our world. When these two worlds unite the partnership is magical and children will be motivated to do many things that we may have thought were impossible for them. With this in mind if you have not done so already please take the time to Read the Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman . It is a life changing read that will help you keep your kids motivated. If you cannot commit to another book to read consider incorporating these five challenges into your kids life and get ready for greater parenting joy with a motivated child in tow…

DETROIT — Some call it a game-changer. Some just shake their heads. Either way, Ford's new aluminum-clad F-150 is such a radical departure from past pickup trucks that it dominated talk at the opening of the Detroit auto show.
Capitalism or socialism in america. which shall it be? All the signs are there. Our nation is rapidly moving towards socialism. Americans on some form of welfare outnumber the number of workers. National healthcare is upon us and the middle class is being destroyed. The unemployment rate is reported to be 7.2 percent but the real number is in the range of 15 percent. We are becoming a nation of part time workers. Our national debt is a disaster waiting to happen. Perhaps this is what our President had in mind when he said “I want to fundamentally transform America”.

On St. Vincent de Paul Executive Director Steve Zabilski’s wall is a photo taken a few years ago of former Fry’s Food Stores President Jon Flora during a visit to the center. It’s of the now-deceased man surrounded by a group of children, all holding books donated to them during his visit.
A double-whammy hits Campo Verde this year, not only because a brand new group on defense is being put in place, but the Coyotes are moving up to Division II in the process. The good news for Max Ragsdale’s team being the offense has its skill players back in tow, and the talent advantage in this matchup goes to Campo Verde. To the experienced, dual-threat quarterback goes the advantage, and the Coyotes might be rusty in many places (perhaps defensively and the offensive line which is also new), but the night’s result will be good enough.
Prediction: Campo Verde 31, Barry Goldwater 14
