HOUSTON (AP) — Ah, Arizona. Just the place for the Super Bowl to thaw out after a frosty foray into the New York/New Jersey area.
The Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee says it's been informed by the NFL that Arizona is one of two finalists to host the 2015 Super Bowl.

Arizona's Super Bowl Host Committee has decided to punt instead of go long for a chance to host the NFL championship in Glendale in 2014.
PHOENIX (AP) — NFL owners chose Arizona on Tuesday to host the Super Bowl for what will be the second time in seven years, a signal that the state will now be in the regular rotation to host football's biggest spectacle and that its tough immigration laws are having a waning impact on attracting visitors.
Arizona’s largest electric company approved a $1 million donation to help support the 2015 Super Bowl in Glendale.

Brian Wood is a man with a big idea and a plan to help American and Canadian military veterans. But he needs help. “The whole idea is to give veterans from Canada and the northern United States an inexpensive place to go to get away from the cold for a little while,” he said. “This is a wonderful part of the country, and there are lots of things to do.”
Peoria resident Charles Bracy lives a few blocks from the city’s entertainment district, the stretch of 83rd Avenue south of Bell Road that includes the Peoria Sports Complex, a Harkins Theatre and numerous bars and restaurants. Bracy has been following the city’s plans to overhaul the area, so when he heard city staff and representatives from the developer would have a community meeting Monday night at the Arizona Broadway Theatre he made the trip.
