Down two runs in the bottom of the seventh, Hamilton’s Ryan Peep smacked a walk off two-run double to propel the Huskies baseball team to a 7-6 comeback victory over visiting Horizon on Tuesday.

Led by Skyler Palermo’s two home runs on the day, Hamilton baseball used a four-run fourth inning to break a tie game and pull away from visiting Basha, 6-4, Tuesday.

‘Twas not the winter of everyone’s discontent. At least, not for all the basketball players, soccer studs and wrestlers who took their shots, saves and takedowns for glory’s sake and found some.

Without starting point guard Anne Marie Holter (torn ACL on January 29th), No. 2 Seton Catholic looked vulnerable during the early stages of the Division II girls basketball state tournament.

If there is going to be a fourth-straight girls state championship for Seton Catholic it will not be a thing a beauty.

Seton Catholic's quest to retain its status as Division II championship contenders nearly came to an end Friday night after pesky No. 15 Williams Field took the defending champions to overtime before Seton held on for a 49-43 victory.

It was hardly a knockout punch. Seton Catholic is still alive in the running for a girls basketball state championship after winning three straight titles in a couple different classifications.

Dobson's girls basketball team had little trouble in a rematch with Tucson High to open the Division I, Section 2 tournament on Tuesday.

Eric Mormon’s header with four minutes remaining in overtime helped No. 6 Campo Verde avoid a first-round upset and beat No. 11 Notre Dame, 3-2,  on Wednesday night to advance to the quarterfinals of the Division II Boys State Soccer Tournament.
