The city is encouraging local youth to participate by volunteering to lead and organize donation drives within their schools, clubs, churches, Boy Scout troops and neighborhoods through the months of March and April. Donations of new or gently used closed-toe athletic shoes for kids in elementary school are requested. Donations can be dropped off at Mountain View High School, 845 N. Lindsay Road, 9 a.m. to noon April 27 in conjunction with Hersey’s Track and Field Games.
