Queen Creek has reached the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively, the past two seasons and could take that final step this year.
Sister Dorothy Zeller, principal of Queen of Peace School and the Rev. Charlie Goraieb of Queen of Peace Church, announce on Tuesday that the school will remain open for the 2011-2012 school year after raising $230,000 of the $250,000 it needed to raise by March 15 so it would not close at the end of the school year.
