The Mesa Chamber of Commerce has expanded its board of directors from 24 to 40 members, saying it wants to reflect an increasingly diverse business community. The chamber added five elected members and four ex-officio members and plans to add up to 13 more in the coming months. The new elected members are Neil Baier of Crescent Crown Distributing, Rick Jones of SCF Arizona, Vanessa Carcich of Wal-Mart, Rick Flowers of the East Valley Tribune and Ken Lanzel of CenturyLink. The new ex-officio members are Mitzi Montoya of the College of Technology and Innovation at ASU Polytechnic, Sally Downey of the East Valley Institute of Technology, Mike Cowan of the Mesa Unified School District and David Short of the Downtown Mesa Association.
