Fans of craft and local beer in Mesa are flocking to a new bar built specially for imbibers of the millennia-old beverage. The Brass Tap, tucked inside Mesa Riverview, opened its doors in March and, according to its owners, is thriving.
PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities say a man smashed into a northwest Phoenix care home on purpose, killing one of the residents and damaging the facility that cares for people with traumatic brain injuries.
A car crashed into the home with two employees and five residents inside Sunday night, going through the living room and into the kitchen.
Police say the vehicle struck a 61-year-old man inside, who was taken to a hospital in critical condition. That man later died. His name hasn't been released.
Police didn't immediately identify the driver, but say he crashed into the home on purpose to try to hurt himself. Authorities say he likely will face homicide and endangerment charges.
The care home's residents were moved to another facility temporarily.
