  1. article Letter: Do we deserve mercy for barbaric practice?

    Saturday, June 2, 2012 8:47 am

God bless Arizona Rep. Trent Franks for trying to stop sexually-biased abortion in America. Apparently, mothers are allowed to kill the unborn just because they did not want a boy or a girl. In any other area of society discrimination based upon sex is illegal. Apparently, we are the only advanced nation in the planet that allows this! And we ask God to have mercy on our souls? Do we deserve mercy if we allow this practice to continue?

  • article Letter: Obama depriving social security fund

    Tuesday, December 27, 2011 7:48 pm

Fact: 47 percent of the households pay no federal Income Tax! Obama’s 2011, one-year employment tax reduction, will deprive our social security fund of $119 billion. If Obama is allowed his way, HE will do the same thing in 2012 for another $105 billion shortfall. Borrowing money from China to give foreign aid, to send us stimulus checks and to reduce our payments into social security is insane. Our national debt may be staggering, but it is dwarfed by our existing obligations to social security and government pensions. We can’t survive four more years of calculated sabotage to our economy that has drifted into a failed socialistic European model. Anyone — and I mean anyone — but Obama in November!

  • article Letter: President disregards our laws

    Friday, May 4, 2012 3:14 pm

Obama’s obsession to keep our borders open is beyond incompetency. It crosses the line from incompetence to a blatant disregard of our existing laws. He has used the Justice Department to thwart border states from protecting their own citizens and even hindering them from making sure that only Bona fide voters vote! Arizona should never have had to fight this fight. The sad thing is that even GW Bush had disdain for those who were keeping drugs out of the country. Remember how GW railroaded those border guards and only let them off the hook when they were going to get a new trial? Once again, Arizona, you make the rest of the nation PROUD!

  • article Letters: Arizona should keep trying for a 'birther' law

    Wednesday, April 27, 2011 2:45 am

It is a crying shame Arizona’s Legislature could not have given Gov. Jan Brewer a no nonsense proof of citizenship bill to sign. Arizona has made America proud many times before for defending this nation’s borders. Not knowing for sure if your president is legally elected is bad for America.

  • article Letter: Were politics at play in SB 1070 ruling?

    Saturday, July 7, 2012 9:11 am

The decision of the Supreme Court regarding Arizona trying to defend itself from foreign attack, smacks of political pressure. It is my “over the top” thought that Obama insisted on this victory or else the mandatory aspect of Obama Care would stand. I think that Justice Roberts felt that the repeal of mandatory health insurance was more important than Arizona’s right to protect its borders. I would love to subpoena all of the Justices to find out how much of their decision making relates to the US Constitution and how much is determined by loyal liberals doing the bidding of Barrack Hussein Obama II.

  • article Letters: More honesty, less rhetoric on border

    Saturday, May 21, 2011 4:15 am

I was very disappointed by the president's speech in El Paso. How can he say that the border is secured and that illegal aliens deserve amnesty?

  • article Letter: Side effects of drugs a big part of problem

    Thursday, July 26, 2012 4:21 pm

An estimated 22.1 percent of Americans ages 18 and older suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year. Despite the fact that women are twice as likely to have mental issues as men, it’s the men who seem to go “postal” and go on killing sprees. The media does not like to talk about the side effects of such drugs which are now given out like candy.

Walter Cronkite, the premier TV anchorman of the networks' golden age who reported a tumultuous time with reassuring authority and came to be called "the most trusted man in America," has died. He was 92.
