    Boy Scouts delivered more than 120,000 pounds of food last week to Mesa’s United Food Bank following their annual Scouting for Food food drive. The food was much needed, United Food Bank reports. In December, the number of emergency food boxes distributed by the nonprofit’s agencies was up 89 percent over the previous year. More than 40 troops participated in the food drive.

    Superstition Farm and their "kitchen" Udder Delights had a huge animal food/supply drive over the past 2 weeks.  A week ago the farm team delivered a truck load of supplies to St. Johns for farm/domestic/wild animals displaced by the Wallow Fire.  They exercised horses and cleaned corrals while they were there.

Items that SBH's Homeless Outreach is requesting include: Water, sunscreen, hats or caps, lip balm, hygiene kits (including toothpaste, toothbrushes), lightweight T-shirts, shoes, socks and underwear
