Forget the Ides of March, beware the calories of March. The month is one of the Valley’s busiest in terms of food- and drink-related events. Whether you’re into wine or beer, Brie or barbecue, there’s something for almost every appetite.
I was flipping through TV channels the other day and came across an HBO airing of “Ratatouille,” one of my favorite movies that celebrate food and drink. It got me thinking of others, so here are five more movies I highly recommend, all of which are available on DVD.

We're drowning in dining options — some are nasty, some are average, but many are outstanding. I spend 40 hours a week hunting for those perfect places and plates, tastes and experiences that I can't wait to tell someone about.

The free event features live music, dance and theater performances, as well as food and an art reception with a cash bar.
You could probably attend a show a week this coming arts season and still not see the variety of performances on tap Friday at Mesa Arts Center.
We’re no stranger to Fall’s pumpkin-this, pumpkin-that frenzy. We’ve sipped, scarfed and inhaled more pumpkin-imbued coffee, cheesecake and candles than is probably reasonable. And, yet, there’s another autumn creation we’re itching to try: TQLA’s new pumpkin margarita.
