  • article The Vent: Feb. 6

    Wednesday, February 6, 2013 11:14 am

“I realize the purpose of the ‘Vent’ column is to entertain with quirky, off-the-cuff, sometimes biased and unsolicited items. However, when editing such items to appear in a public newspaper, it would seem grossly improper to allow such blatant and derogatory references to our President Obama as a ‘dope.’...... cheap, tacky, ignorant, un-American and certainly NOT funny.”

  • article The Vent: Jan. 30

    Wednesday, January 30, 2013 10:16 am

“Another garment factory fire in Bangladesh. These factory owners/operators should be punished by being impaled on a stake in front of their burned out factory. And their execution should be televised.”

  • article The Vent: Jan. 27

    Sunday, January 27, 2013 9:37 am

“Seriously, some people need to get a life. The main news stories on national television have been about Te’o’s girlfriend saga and whether or not Beyonce lip synced at the inauguration. Please find something more news worthy to report about!”

    Sunday, December 16, 2012 4:23 pm

Just like with the Fast and Furious cover up, this administration is playing the classic Middle East, Libyan political tactic of stalling with rhetoric instead of producing the records (that are readily available) of what happened. Obama said he gave the order “to do whatever needed to be done to protect our people.”

“Here is a great way to boost our economy. Everyone with a foreign car should go out and buy either GM, Ford or Chrysler. That way your money will give the economy a big boost. Americans should support the USA, not Japan or Korea. When you buy foreign cars they tell you that the cars are made here, which is wrong, the cars are assembled here. Another point: When you buy a foreign car some of your money goes to that country.”

  • article Turley-Hansen: Stuck in America

    Friday, November 16, 2012 1:49 pm

We’re battle worn. The past two years of campaigns were no less hostile than Hurricane Sandy. Election pundits tell us we’re a nation divided and stuck in this place. All the while, the critical mass of the big government crowd has taken control. We’ve been told this day would come, and it has.

BOCA RATON, Fla. — President Barack Obama sharply challenged Mitt Romney on foreign policy in their final campaign debate Monday night, accusing him of "wrong and reckless leadership that is all over the map." • article The Vent: Oct. 19

    Friday, October 19, 2012 8:31 am

“I am sure most Democrats don’t understand the comment about how Carmona should protect women by snubbing Clinton. They either weren’t alive in the 90’s or aren’t smart enough to realize the man’s actions have proven time and again what he really thinks of the role of women. Their continuing support of him tells me everything I need to know about the Democratic party. That is why I left the party to become an independent.”

    Wednesday, October 3, 2012 3:36 pm

Why are the American people being fed nothing but lies about the Benghazi, Libya Embassy Attack and the murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens? Obama’s UN Ambassador Susan Rice was all over the news programs spouting the Administration’s lie about the Benghazi Embassy attack being “spontaneous,” brought about “solely” to protest the latest anti-Islam “home movie.”

    Wednesday, September 26, 2012 6:51 am
