You can't really watch the film “Bears” with any expectation of plot or even a plethora of factoids for your kids to spout off randomly in the car. There are a few of those for sure (did you know that a bear's sense of smell is seven times stronger than a blood hound's?) but the film's purpose is evoke as many “awwwwwws” and “squeeeees” from the titular animals’ escapades as humanly possible.
The Bears set a new school records for wins by a tennis team, earning their 12th win of the season by defeating a state tournament contender in Highland.
Fitting for a guy with a background in coaching running backs, enthusiasm figuratively sprinted its way out of Gerald Todd’s mouth.

BALTIMORE — The odds have long been stacked against students like those in Edward Ennels' remedial math classes at Baltimore City Community College.
Someone recently told me about a movie titled “God’s Not Dead.” It stars Kevin Sorbo of Hercules fame, Dean Cain of Superman fame, and Willie Robertson of Duck Dynasty. After I looked up the synopsis and read the critical reviews I decided to go watch it.
ASU-commit led Bears to new heights
All-Tribune First Team
The Bears' top four players stole the show tonight, sweeping to victories in their singles and doubles matches against a solid #11 ranked squad from Gilbert.
NEW THIS WEEK
Mirroring their match from earlier in the year, the Bears and Lions both brought intensity and fire to what is turning into a fierce rivalry. Separated by a razor thin margin, the match hinged on two 3rd set tiebreakers in singles, both won by Basha.
"Don’t Call Me Pig.” “Josefina Javelina.” “A Cowgirl and Her Horse.” “Only One You.”
Without comment the House on Thursday gave preliminary approval to allowing ranchers and their employees to kill wolves.
A very fancy dinner out at a remote wildlife refuge could help safeguard one of the most endangered mammals in North America.
At the midway point of the season, Basha is undefeated and playing at a high level. The Bears crushed the Coyotes, sweeping to victory while losing a total of 6 games in the process. #5 Chayse Olson and Varsity #6 Katie Mortensen each had a perfect day in singles and doubles, winning without losing a single game.
If you are a live-action role player (or LARPer) then you might enjoy Knights of Badassdom more than your average moviegoer, and probably even more than your average genre film fan. It’s a small film with a lot of heart and a good script, which, unfortunately, is poorly translated. Yet still, it doesn’t completely succubus.
In a hotly contested match with another of the East Valley's perennial girls tennis powerhouses, the Basha Bears secured a quality victory. Heading into the match Basha was the #3 ranked program (according to AIA Power Points) while Highland was the #8 ranked program in Div. I.
It was my first year at the University of Arizona and I spent it housed in the Yuma dorm, Room 306. Going from a small charter school to living in a dorm with more people than I graduated high school with could be considered a bit of a “culture shock.” There are so many dynamics to the dorm experience, starting with the reputation of the dorm you’re about to inhabit and the small 10-foot-by-10-foot dorm room you’ll be sharing with one or possibly more human beings. You’d be surprised how cramped a small room for two can feel when you introduce a roommate’s girlfriend (or boyfriend for the ladies) to the equation. Not to mention what it’s like to have to share bathrooms with and fight for laundry space with a floor’s worth of people. It may test your patience and gross tolerance levels, but if you do it right it’ll turn out to be one of the neatest experiences of your life and a chance to develop some life-long relationships.
Playing against a very under-staffed Jaguar team, the Bears swept their way to victory in convincing fashion. Basha No. 3 Briley Rucker continued her perfect season, earning a 6-0, 6-0 win in singles and teaming with Varsity No. 1 Jewel Brundrett to win 8-1 in doubles. Five matches and one tournament into the season, Briley has yet to lose a match in singles or doubles.

With 41 HD televisions sprinkled throughout the bar, dining room, patios and game rooms, it’s easy to keep your eye on the game. But you might not even notice it when you sink your teeth into the signature bagel bun, served atop the peanut butter burger (don’t ask, we haven’t tried it), the egg burger, or the double-patty Big Hub. They also offer pizza, fish tacos, calzones, soups and salads, and 25 beers on tap. Take the kids along for a meal, and they’ll get to pick a surprise from the Treasure Box — if they behave and mind their manners.
