Chandler Basha running back Alvin Clark scored three touchdowns — two rushing, one receiving — to pace the visiting Bears to a commanding 35-6 Central Region road win over Phoenix Mountain Pointe on Friday night.

Mesa police shot and killed a man Friday who was suspected in an earlier fatal shooting at a grocery store. Dead are Tony Sanchez, 53, a Bashas' produce manager who worked for the grocer for more than 30 years, and the suspect who was estimated to be 50 to 60 years old, police said.
