Chandler High receiver and defensive end Dion Jordan, who missed half of this past season after getting burned in an accident in October that threatened to derail his athletic career, has narrowed his choices for football this fall to Oregon and Arizona State.
Jordan said Tuesday those schools were the finalists. He said he will announce his choice today.
Jordan visited Oregon three weeks ago and never took an official visit to ASU. He also visited Colorado, Nebraska and Arizona.
Jordan, a 6-foot-6, 215-pound senior, caught 13 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns in six games in his short senior season. On defense he was in on 55 tackles, had five sacks, a fumble recovery for a score and two blocked kicks.
Jordan was hospitalized for a month early in October with burns over 30 percent of his body after he was helping friends siphon gasoline from a car.
